“Car stopped working in the freeway warranty detected,after I had to pay $1200 to tear engine, that a hose behind engine was disconnected which caused overheating of engine. No sensor warning alerts shown. Car has 64k mileage sold with 41k. Warranty didn't cover dealer will start charging me for storage. “Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jaguar xj. While driving 15 mph, the vehicle started to overheat and the engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and had it towed to a tow lot. The vehicle was later taken to jaguar freeport (146 w sunrise hwy, freeport, ny 11520, (516) 771-9700) where it was diagnosed that a new water pump and cooling pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and was later taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the intercooler pipe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. “Problem involves intercooler pipe that was made for the car during production and jaguar now makes a new intercooler pipe diffrent from original that does not come in the car originally that causes car to over heat and cause engine damage as well as ruining your water pump which in time if not treated can cause a fire and engine damage also rear suspension has faulty bushings and air suspension is leaks causing suspension to break down easily and wheel alignment not to last may cause suspension to collapse making it hazardous on the road”Owner report · Suspension · Sep 2018
“Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jaguar xj. While driving 70 mph, the rear passenger side tire low air warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact stopped at the fuel station and placed air in the tire. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The vehicle was taken to the tire dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear driver side tire, and the rear and front passenger side rims were fractured. The vehicle was not repaired. Recalls - 2 campaigns
Jaguar Land Rover North America (Jaguar) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Jaguar XJ vehicles manufactured February 6, 2014, to July 23, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the brake line junctions under the vehicle may leak brake fluid.
Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake line junctions, tightening them as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on January 16, 2015. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J048.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 XJ, XF and XK vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the toe links, components used to control the alignment of the rear wheels, can separate from the rear sub-frame.
Remedy: Jaguar notified owners on May 8, 2014, and dealers will replace the nut and washer assembly on the rear toe links, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin around May 27, 2014. Owners may contact Jaguar at 1-855-524-8278. Jaguar's number for this recall is J037.
