“The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX80. The contact stated that there was a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle while the vehicle was parked. The contact stated that the odor was present in the garage and in her residence. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V683000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated she had stopped driving the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. “I starting hearing a grinding noise coming from engine couple of weeks ago. Took it to the Infinity dealership for a diagnostic test. The mechanic stated " timing chains were found to be stretched and metal was worn." This is the same issue which prompted the recall of 2011-2013 QX56 models. “The contact owns a 2014 Infiniti QX80. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there was a loud winding noise coming from underneath the vehicle. The same noise would occur while attempting to accelerate. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed that the timing chain had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA. “Tl* the contact owns a 2014 infiniti qx80. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal squealing sound coming from the engine, lasting for approximately ten minutes. There was an unknown warning light illuminated during the failure. The contact took the vehicle to faulkner infiniti mechanicsburg (6720 carlisle pike, mechanicsburg, pa 17050, (717) 691-8900) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. “Ignition randomly will not start. Mechanics can not locate the issue only stating that it is traced back to an unknown electrical problem. I've heard about this same issue from other fellow qx80 owners. Again this is random and can happen for days at a time and then not at all for a week and then resurface. My family and I have been stranded in inclement weather, dangerous areas of unknown cities with this problem and it needs to be fixed! “My timing chain was stretched. This is the same problem the infiniti qx56 had. My qx80 has the same motor and replacement timing chain part. The qx56 was issued a voluntary service campaign for this problem. My chain has not been included. Even though it has the same junk timing chain. “The car is having issues with the battery not keeping a charge. Spring 2018 took the car to the dealership several times, battery, starter, alternator checks out ok but even after replacing a cracked battery in summer 2018 with a new now march 2019 the 7th month old battery does not work. “Sun visor on driver's side is not working properly. It will not stay in any position I set it to. It hangs down. It is a safety hazard because it blocks my ability to see long distances. I checked on the replacement cost & it's around $400! We buy high end vehicles because we don't expect this sort of problem within 3 years of purchase. It happened when I turned it down to block the sun. I heard a loud squeak & it will no longer hold the positions it should. It is dangerous. “In a city streer I have problem in rear suspension with the lower control arm left side, without any knock this part was broken, the car dont have any knock or damage on tires, or other place already this part, I have to continue driving and the dust was broken too, if you watch the lower arm you can see that the weld is broken, all the line of weld was broken without any knock or other situation.”Owner report · Suspension · Feb 2016

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013 Infiniti QX56 vehicles manufactured September 1, 2012, to April 26, 2013, and 2014 Infiniti QX80 vehicles manufactured June 18, 2013, to February 11, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the driver's frontal air bag inflator may have been manufactured with an incorrect part.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front driver air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on December 1, 2014. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 Nissan Juke, 2012-2013 Infiniti M56, QX56, and 2014-2015 Infiniti Q70 (V8 engine vehicles only), and QX80 vehicles. The fuel pressure sensors may not have been sufficiently tightened during production. As a result, the fuel pressure sensor may loosen with vehicle usage and cause a fuel leak.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will re-torque the fuel pressure sensors free of charge. The recall began on January 25, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 Infiniti QX80 vehicles manufactured December 2, 2013, through January 27, 2014, and equipped with 20 inch wheels. In the affected vehicles, the Certification label incorrectly lists the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) as 4,497 lb instead of the correct 4,343 lb. As such, the vehicles do not comply with Part 567 "Certification Regulation."
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and will mail owners a corrected Certification label, free of charge. The recall began on April 21, 2014. Owners may contact Infiniti at 1-800-662-6200.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Nissan Armada, 2011-2013 Infiniti QX56, and 2014-2027 QX80 vehicles equipped with 22" wheels. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Remedy: Dealers will install new labels, free of charge. Additionally, Nissan will mail replacement labels to owners. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed August 21, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R26B1 and P6A13/4. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 16, 2026.
