“I was driving home recently and the back of my seat near the base gave out on me, the lower back/bottom raising motor was working but the seat was not going up. Upon inspection I found that the welds on the seat bracket had broken, going online and searching found me countless forums of seat brackets breaking during driving. Two main issues with this 1. I almost lost control due to the sudden drop 2. If I was to get into a collision the seat is not secure whatsoever. This is not an uncommon issue and I am astonished no recall has been given Sources of similarity [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)”Owner report · Seats · Apr 2025
“While traveling 65 mph on an interstate my car slowed to approximately 20mph and iwould not accelerate. The slip indicator/voc and check engine light came on and all I was able to do was make it to the exit with my hazard lights on. I thought maybe the battery or alternator was the cause. I tested both and both were good. I was been trying to track down the problem and had been at a loss until I started to investigate discovering that several 07 infinity models have been having the similar issue as mine.”Owner report · Vehicle Speed Control · Feb 2022
“I have noticed my dash is melting terribly bad its now has soft spots and is now super sticky from melting and cracking and chiping off in some areas where it has melted and then cracked as it hardened back. If I try to clean it with cleaner made for dashes the color just smears and the dash material its self smears and any kind of car cloth just leaves patches of stuff from the dash being sticky and melted. This has been a common problem I am finding all over the web. Why are our dashes not being fixed? This can cause major issues if I was to get into a wreck and the dash just crumbles or squishes because its melted.”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Oct 2019

“Electrical fault in a sensor that I believe causes the engine to shut down. This issue was reported to Infiniti but not corrected; although, Nissan issued a voluntary recall citing a sensor failure that can lead to engine shutdown.”Owner report · Electrical System · Apr 2019
“As I was driving on a normal city street in regular traffic, the driver seat suddenly started moving forward, powered by the seat control. I reached down to push the lever/seat control back, but the seat motor would not stop; it pushed the seat fully forward. I stopped the car to move it back and was unable to. The other seat functions worked: up, down, tilt, etc. This has happened on four separate occasions. The last three times the seat motor has started working again of its own accord. This time it is still stuck forward.”Owner report · Electrical System · Aug 2018
“My drive shaft broke while I was on the highway driving at 65mph. The drive shaft then bang a massive dent in the engine. 1200$ I was lucky enough to be alive to report this”Owner report · Engine · Jun 2018
“I am getting a code of p1772 low coast solenoid valve within the transmit ion. When this does this the engine will not shift into gear when vehicle is on the road, and will just coast and we have no control of the vehicle. Nissan knows about it and has it procedure to diagnose it. Vehicle is in motion at the time. Faulty censor within the valve body. “The driver seat rear bracket broke under normal use and has resulted in the seat not being securely attached to the frame. I was entering the parked vehicle when it broke. As a result the seat flips forward when stopping which is extremely unsafe. Judging by the hundreds (m/b thousands of complaints online) this is clearly a major manufacturing defect that nissan should repair at no cost to owners.”Owner report · Seats · May 2018
“Fuel gauge does not read correspond to amount of fuel in tank. When car is empty fuel gauge continues to show 1/4 tank leading to dangerous stalls in traffic. There was a recall issued for 2003-2004 m45 vehicles for this exact same problem.”Owner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Nov 2017
