The dashboard on this vehicle get gooey and melts when exposed to sunshine. The intense glare on the windshield makes the car dangerous to drive because visibility is greatly impaired.Owner report · Visibility/Wiper · May 2024

My dashboard is "melting." it's sticky and gooey, emits chemical fumes, and projects a glare of tiny dots all over my windshield. I began noticing this at beginning 2019. Dealer said nothing they can do (told me to put a piece of carpet on top of it). Infiniti consumer affairs said nothing they can do (oct 22, 2019) I called and emailed. I park in my garage, and if in a lot, I use a windshield cover. You can't see it in a photo, it's the touch, smell, and glare. I began suffering respiratory issues first time in my life, and it is not safe to drive because it looks like you're looking out of a windshield covered in tiny dots. *trOwner report · Structure · Jan 2019

I started my vehicle this morning and a yellow light with a key came on for the first time, I thought is was the key battery so I paid no attention, got to my destination and turned the car off, a few minutes later got back into the car to head home and it won't start. I was stuck there for five hours trying to get it started with help from a locksmith and my mechanic, finally found the issue on google was a faulty steering wheel lock unit which 37 other people had problems with and was charged $900 and up to fix by the dealers they know of this issue but won't recall it. My mechanic moved the steering up and down with the lock release and finally got it started.Owner report · Steering · Jan 2016
On friday 7-august-2015 my wife's 2010 ex35 did not crancked. Vehicle got towed to infiniti service department. Diagnostic was ran and the faulty part is the steering wheel lock unit. A former infiniti mechanic told me that nissan altima's use the same part and got recalled on those vehicles. He also states that with just moving the telescoping the steering wheel in and out the problem goes away. He was right and now the vehicle starts. However service department states that the vehicle could lock the steering wheel while driving. They want $1,100 to fix the problem. My take is that this is a safety issue and should be threated as the same situation as the altima.Owner report · Electrical System · Aug 2015
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle would not respond to acceleration attempts. After continually depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle jerked forward and then lunged in reverse. The vehicle then suddenly and rapidly accelerated. The failure recurred while the contact was driving at various speeds intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The contact was not aware of the repair necessary to remedy the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 6,874.Owner report · Power Train · Oct 2012
Side mirrors are hindering sight - very large blind spot on each side. I have almost hit people in intersections. The mirrors are too large and it a very dangerous design flaw. *ttOwner report · Unknown Or Other · Sep 2011
My vehicle (infiniti ex 35, 2010) stops repeatedly while in ds mode. I have documented 11 instances when this vehicle stopped including today. The vehicle is currently with the dealership in alexandria virginia. *trOwner report · Power Train · Apr 2011
Tl*the contact owns a 2010 infiniti ex35. The contact stated that when he shifted into sports mode, the vehicle stopped moving. The failure occurred twice. He had to quickly shift back to drive in order to avoid a crash. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated they could not duplicate the failure. The failure also occurred when he shifted from park to drive. He was forced to shift into park gear, turn the vehicle off and try again. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact called the manufacturer and filed a complaint. The current mileage was approximately 12,700. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.Owner report · Power Train · Sep 2010
I am having 'accelerator lag'; many times when I try to accelerate the car from a stop, it will move very slow. This is very dangerous when I am pulling out in fast traffic. I tried to have this repaired at my dealer, but they said they had no fix for this. *trOwner report · Power Train · Sep 2010
