On numerous occasions while driving on the highway with no other vehicles in the vicinity of my vehicle the forward collision active braking activates aggressively and brakes for no reason this is concerning at 70 mph with a vehicle behind that may be following to close on a slippery road surface. vehicle is available for inspection any time upon request. vehicle has not been inspected by any one yet. no warning lamps other than the one associated with forward collision braking.Owner report · Service Brakes · Feb 2026
The infotainment screen on my 2022 Honda Passport is constantly blacking out or freezing up. In addition to no use of radio or GPS when this happens, there is also no backup camera or rear cross traffic warning. This creates a safety issue. The vehicle has been to the dealer twice. While they can see the problem, they indicated there's no fault code, therefore they don't know know how to proceed with a repair. I opened a case with Honda Customer Service but was told they couldn't do anything and I need to talk to the service manager at the dealer, or just go to a different dealer or Honda Service Center.Owner report · Back Over Prevention · Feb 2026
Our vehicle experienced total transmission failure with no warning while I was driving on a narrow country road. The car shifted into neutral, and I was unable to go anywhere, so I sat in the middle of the road with hazard lights on in a state of panic. We had the car towed to a nearby Honda dealership and were informed of the transmission failure, which was identified through a diagnostic test. Codes that failed were listed as: P0730; P0700; P07A6; P07A8; P07A4. I have owned the car for one year and three months (purchased October 2024 for $34,000). I am being told it is just past the power train warranty, and Honda is not offering any assistance in covering the repair cost - $10,000.Owner report · Power Train · Jan 2026
"Road departure mitigation system problem" is the error that comes up on the dash. The error shuts down cruise control and slows the car down unexpectedly. I've taken the vehicle to the Honda dealer in Tampa Florida where I purchased it and they will not fix the vehicle. The error is a safety issue slowing the vehicle down in traffic and a driver distraction triggered by the Collision Mitigation System and Roadway Departure System.Owner report · Lane Departure · Aug 2025
While driving and pressing on gas the car started beeping and started to brake. There was no obstruction in front of me to cause this. The break flashing signal didn't come on. It just beeped and started to brake and then stoppedOwner report · Service Brakes · Aug 2025
At 62,000 a very noticeable gap in steering going left or right become present. As you turn the steering left or right before the tires began to turn a noticeable clanking notice like gears hitting. The action of clanking was repeating every move more noticeable in park while running and off. Same while driving at 30 and below. ASE mechanic stated it was the rack and pinion issue which could lead to a lost in control resulting in a crash. Dealer refuses to fix due being a 2022 not a 2023Owner report · Steering · May 2025
