while driving at 35 mph a vehicle well ahead of me made a left turn exiting the roadway. My vehicle suddenly applied the brakes even though there was no longer a vehicle in my path. I tried to increase the accelerator, but the vehicle was slow to respond to this. luckily there was not another car directly behind me. This exact problem had occurred many time previously.Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Aug 2026
power tailgate stopped responding to all inputs (button, remote, driver switch), dash displayed a "liftgate power failure" message, manual latch still functions. fuses are good, connectors looked clean, and the boot is intact, points to module failureOwner report · Electrical System · Aug 2026

Early in a driving session, the accelerator pedal, when applied pressure, will not rev the engine and provide power to the wheels for 1-3 seconds. This issue happens once or twice in a driving session and then doesn't do it again until a future driving session. It is random and doesn't happen every session. This issue causes me to have concerns entering traffic, particularly left turns, as I am unsure if the vehicle will accelerate when needed to safely enter traffic. I have had Service Bulletin 19-124 completed on my vehicle and it did not fix the issue.Owner report · Electrical System · Aug 2026
While driving the car lurches as it shifts gears. This had gone on for quite some time but no codes have been thrown. This last time the car lurched so badly at the beginning of acceleration that I thought it was going to stall. It did not, but lights began flashing on the dash and when codes were (finally) thrown I was told I needed a new transmission altogether.Owner report · Power Train · Aug 2026
The rear spring suffered a catastrophic failure, breaking while driving with occupants inside vehicle. The rear coil springs suffer from poor materials or paint protection causing premature failure and rust.Owner report · Suspension · Aug 2026
Front camera failure shut off multiple safety features. Confirmed by the dealership service department. Safety features shut off adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation system, road departure mitigation system and blind spot info system. Driving this car under 43000 miles with multiple safety features off with messages flashing is stressful, distracting, uncomfortable and unsafe especially this car is mainly used for children. The worse part is that the dealership service department can not fix the problems because the part is back ordered. We have to continue to use this car in this unsafe condition.Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Jul 2026
ADAS front facing camera died at 104,716 miles. No prior warning. All ADAS systems are down. Five emergency warnings on starting up the car. Normal driving is OK, but safety systems are no longer working. Reported repair cost from Honda dealership is $2000+.Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Jul 2026
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the driver's side rear sliding door failed to latch as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed door motor. In addition, the contact was informed that the driver's side rear sliding door motor had seized. The contact was informed that the driver's side rear sliding door motor and roller were needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 156,000.Owner report · Latches/Locks/Linkages · Jul 2026
There are multiple systems that have failed in the vehicle: - Lane Keeping Assist Problem - Collision Mitigation System Problem - Auto High Beam Problem - Adaptive Cruise Control System - Road Departure Mitigation System Problem Here's the issue, I've seen multiple people with this issue saying it's related to the camera system. I've reported it multiple times and to the dealer and have not received a straight answer. This needs to be investigated.
