Engine shuts off while driving. Speeds can be low or high. 20-65 mph. While driving, engine will cut off. Sometimes the electrics remain on and I can use power steering to pull to the side of the road, other times everything shuts down. It can happen while turning or regular straight driving. Sometimes it will restart right after, other times, it won't start for many minutes. We have gotten stuck in turn lanes, middle of intersections, and busy 3 lane city roads. Mechanic says it is not showing any codes and can't find anything wrong with the car.Owner report · Power Train · May 2026
I bought this car from a private seller and he claimed the vehicle was in good condition. A day later the car has been dying on me while driving. Nothing shows on the check engine that something is wrong with it. The car will start and able to drive but then will die on me again. How do I find if it's covered under a recall?Owner report · Engine · Apr 2026
The SRS light has come on in our 2001 Honda CR-V. Diagnostics at the dealership revealed that the control module is defective, and Honda does not cover its replacement. This is a safety issue, as the airbags will not deploy with the SRS light on. Honda should be responsible for this. Please issue a recall. It appears this issue has been occurring for several years.Owner report · Air Bags · Jan 2022

I looked up my VIN I'd to see it had a air bag recall. I then call my local honda dealer to see when I could take vehicle in for the recall. They stated bring it ant time. I also received a 'safety recall notice' from honda. On 10/27/2020 I took the vehicle to have the air bag replaced. As it turn out on the paper work when contacted to pick up the vehicle it stated 'air bag inspection complete'. I later called the dealer to find out that it was not replaced but only inspected. This was done by honda spreen. Is inspection only correct or replacement correct. Should the recall have replaced the actual device. Does this recall cover both driver and passenger side air bag on this vehicle?Owner report · Air Bags · Oct 2020

AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE20V027000 · Jan 2020

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2001-2002 Acura 3.2CL, 2000-2003 Acura 3.5RL, 2000-2001 Acura 3.2TL, Honda CR-V and Honda Odyssey, 2001-2002 Acura MDX and 2000 Accord Coupe, Accord Sedan, Civic Coupe, and Civic Sedan vehicles. These vehicles may have received a replacement driver frontal air bag module as part of a vehicle repair. Due to a manufacturing issue, the replacement NADI inflator may absorb moisture, causing the inflator to rupture or the air bag cushion to underinflate.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the air bags in the vehicles, replacing the driver frontal air bag inflator with an inflator of a different design, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began October 1, 2020. Owners may contact American Honda's Customer Support & Campaign Center at 1-888-234-2138.
