Sunroof glass suddenly shattered while driving with no impact. Very scary and Honda said it could be thousands to fix it. They say this has never happened before at their dealership and they've never heard of it happening.Owner report · Visibility/Wiper · Apr 2026
Steering wheel makes clicking noise and becomes difficult when making small adjustments . After holding the steering wheel steady for a few seconds, there is increased resistance when trying to turn from the center position. Once the resistance is overcome, the steering suddenly moves more than expected, which can cause overcorrection. In addition, there is a clicking, light ticking, or binding sound when turning the steering wheel.downOwner report · Steering · Apr 2026

Issue happens whenever I use adaptive Cruise control for any extended period of time. Typically occurs in less than an hour. The vehicle will be in active cruise mode and then the cruise control will suddenly shutoff and a few beeps are heard. I am unable to reactivate cruise control until I perform a key cycle at which point the cruise can be activated again.Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Apr 2026
The contact owns a 2022 Honda Civic. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (Steering). The contact requested to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer was contacted, and the recall repair was performed. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact did not experience a failure.Owner report · Steering · Apr 2026
Cruise control suddenly stopped working along with 5 warnings on dash which indicated to take vehicle to Dealer. This occured out of the blue, at 80,000 miles, with no prior indication of a problem and after a steering recall about months ago in August. Dealer says the power steering rack motor and plugs have melted. They claimed they had no idea how. Dealer wants approx. $10K to fix, wants me to replace the Steering rack and motor along with entire Wiring harness. this Assembly is about 3 inches from the muffler and a flimsy small heat guard. There are no signs of a fire, this is an overheating issue caused by poor engineering.Owner report · Lane Departure · Feb 2026
I reversing in my driveway, I heard a loud 'pop' from the front driver's side followed by a total loss of steering control. Upon inspection, a steering component (tie rod) appears to have snapped/failed. This vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall #23V704000 for an incorrectly assembled steering rack that allows for excessive stroke length and contact with suspension components. I have not been in a recent accident; this was a spontaneous mechanical failure while maneuvering at low speed. Additionally, the authorized dealer (Norm Reeves Honda Cerritos) is refusing to perform the recall inspection without an upfront $190 diagnostic fee, obstructing the free remedy mandated by federal law.Owner report · Suspension · Feb 2026
The head gasket was failing and the spark plugs were enduring spark blowout and the car was misfiring occasionally I tried entering the highway and as I was merging to the highway and getting up to speed the car suddenly starting flashing the check engine light and wouldn't accelerate anymore when I gave it gas as I was entering the highway and a big truck towing vehicles was coming so I had to get to the emergency lane and stop the vehicle and the trucker had to slam on his brakes When my car was supposed to accelerate it completely shut down and started slowing down. After recall was done. Car is still experiencing hard to turn, jerking and clicking noises when turning to park. Was on highway and car jerked caused me to almost hit a passing car.Owner report · Steering · Jan 2026
I was driving on a very busy road and the car completely died and would not go into park. It was like the battery was not even there. The steering wheel locked up, hazards would not come on and all the doors locked and would not unlock. There was no power to the car whatsoever. The drivers side door had to be pried open from the outside so I could get out of the car. We had the battery tested and is tested completely fine. The car has done this three times now.Owner report · Electrical System · Dec 2025
