“my steering wheel is locking up while driving at highway type speed. my car is shaking at highway speed as well. there has been recalls on these type of cars and Honda has them posted common issue part number is 53640-t22-305. I don't have an issue with the seat. my car is shaking randomly and no one knows why. I tryed tired and rims. well its a common issue with these cars.”Owner report · Steering · Sep 2026
“I bought the vehicle. Everything was cool and I have this issue with the steering that is on recall. I contacted the Honda dealer. They said that I have to contact Canada because it was manufactured in Canada and give me a runaround. My VIN number shows no recalls but the year make a model is on recall in both US and Canada having an issue because the car is in our title vehicle which is reconstructed but everything I guess that was done to the vehicle without my knowledge before everything has been bought at the Honda dealer where I don't know.”Owner report · Steering · Aug 2026
“The contact owns a 2023 Honda Civic Si. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed on the same day the vehicle was purchased from the dealer, the contact noticed a strong oil odor inside the vehicle. The contact parked the vehicle and noticed oil leaking onto the ground and throughout the undercarriage. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that a technician had forgotten to install the oil drain plug; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.”Owner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Jul 2026

“Rear shelf vibration/ rattle when listening to music at any volume. Sounds like a speaker is busted but isn't. My 2023 Honda Civic SI is at the dealership now and I have informed them of this issue.”Owner report · Electrical System · Jan 2026
“The rear windshield on my 2023 Honda Civic suddenly shattered so heavily that I could not see through it. Absolutely nothing hit it to cause the shatter. Soon after, the whole windshield broke and glass went all over the backseat of my car. This is a known issue with Honda. Corporate said it should be covered as I still have the 3yr/36k miles warranty in effect. The dealer says it's not covered. I am now fighting this with corporate. Dealer says that regardless, it will take 2-3 WEEKS for them to get a new windshield, as they are so back ordered. I wonder why? Even Consumer Reports states that Honda is fully aware of the issue on many models.”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Feb 2025
“While driving, the steering wheel becomes stiff and sometimes even sticks, making it hard to turn or keep the car in control, especially at freeway speeds. It's a struggle to keep the car straight, and this problem can happen at any time, which makes it really dangerous.”Owner report · Steering · Sep 2024
“Steering sticks at any speed. Feels like the steering wheel gets stuck. When I put pressure to move the wheel I often put too much pressure causing me to turn the wheel too far.”Owner report · Steering · Aug 2024
“The steering wheel keeps sticking while driving. This is specially dangerous while in a turn because you have to force steering wheel out of the turn and quickly correct the vehicle's reaction as it becomes unstuck. This is a HUGE safety issue and is scary to drive like this.”Owner report · Steering · May 2024
“Steering gets unusually stiff driving in a straight line at highway speeds. minor adjustments are hard to make and is difficult to steer the vehicle correctly when the "stiff steering" happens. very dangerous when it happens. I think it must be a faulty electronic power steering issue.”Owner report · Steering · Feb 2024
“Sticky feeling in steering wheel while turning at moderate speeds, extra effort required to pull steering wheel back to center. No errors or warning lights. Noticeably worse feeling in steering during long trips, cold temps. Some noise can be heard when turning wheel lock to lock while stationary.”Owner report · Steering · Feb 2024
