“A faulty transmission control unit, caused the vehicle to at random shift in to an improper gear or into neutral at or during take off from stop. This resulted in loss of power when trying to join traffic, or once already in traffic. Tcu would also fail to lock or unlock t/c when it was designed to. On one occasion the tcu locked the t/c at a stop light, stalling the engine in traffic. Tcu failed to alert the driver of a problem through the d4 or check engine lamps, and produced non existent codes when put into diagnostic mode. *tr”Owner report · Power Train · May 2012
“Front left seat belt was buckled in, making audible click, and turning off indicator lamp on dash board. While driving the seat belt popped out of its latch. At no point during the drive did any lamp or chime warn the seat belt was not fully latched. “Tl* the contact owns bridge-stone potenza g109 tires, size 195/65/r15 equipped on a 1992 honda accord. While examining the front passenger side tire the contact noticed several cuts along the side wall of the tire. The tire was taken to the dealer where the tire was replaced however, two months after the replacement the contact noticed hat the failure had recurred. “Tl- the contact owns a 1992 honda accord. When she attempted to make a left turn, the vehicle that had the right of way wasnt able to stop and crashed into her vehicle left side causing the vehicle turned several times the vehicle stopped when it crashed head into the other vehicle front end, and the driver frontal air bag didnt deployed. She received injuries to the chest, neck, knee, and back. The police report information, and the VIN, wasnt available. The failure mileage was 200,000 and the current mileage was 300,000. Remedy: REPLACE THE SENSOR IN THE REAR SEAT BELT RETRACTOR.
