“As the vehicle was pulling off a parking lot the brakes went to the floor. After driving home using the parking brake to stop, I pulled the drivers side wheel off and after adding more brake fluid saw the leak at the fuel tank area wile my wife pushed the pedal. All the brake lines look corroded. *tr”Owner report · Service Brakes · Mar 2013
“In my 1999 gmc yukon denali at a slow speed while trying to come to a complete stop the ABS prematurely activate making it nearly impossible to stop completely. I have read many complaints about the same problem with the same vehicle and still nothing has been done about it. Please post a recall for this specific vehicle. There are recalls for similar vehicles but not the 1999 gmc yukon denali. Why? *tr”Owner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Mar 2011
“My windshield wipers, windows, radio and door locks will intermittently stop working. I have found several others to be experiencing the same exact problems based on several online forums I found by googling "problems with 99 yukon denali". It seems as though replacing the body control module fixes the issue in some cases but most have no clue how to fix it. Some even say they experienced a loss of power while driving. *tr”Owner report · Electrical System · Apr 2009

“This weekend (friday night) I started smelling a "burnt wire" smell. I drove to the store on saturday morning came back home. I went to the store again sunday morning and noticed smoke coming out of the drivers door. I immediately pulled over and called the fire dept. After going through my door and pulling off the panel, it was discovered that I had an electrical fire that started from the electric mirror control. This is the first time that this has happened and the car is currently in the shop! Thanks *tr”Owner report · Electrical System · Aug 2008
“I was traveling 60 mph on interstate 20 when tire tread/belt began to separate from the tire. Fortunately I was able to steer the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. The tire are not original equipment. I am careful to maintain the proper inflation level of the tires. There was no prior indication that the tire was defective or would the tread/belt would separate. *tr”Owner report · Tires · Apr 2008
“On 12/14/07 we were involved in an auto accident. We were traveling at about 50mph and ran into the back of another vehicle. The whole front passenger side of our yukon is totaled. The front end/battery and other items is pushed up into the engine. My concern is that neither one of the airbags deployed in the accident. Why? The impact should have released the airbag and the driver of the vehicle hit his shoulder on the steering wheel, which the airbag would have prevented that. *tr”Owner report · Air Bags · Dec 2007
“Another vehicle pulled out in front of me. I managed to avoid them despite my brake rotor failure. 1999 gmc yukon denali - during maximum braking from 45 mph the left front brake rotor suffered a catastrophic failure. The rotor failure resulted in the vehicle suddenly surging to the right while braking. The rotor disk become completely separated from the hub mounting flange. The rotor was original from the factory with 95,000 miles on it. The truck had recently passed pa state inspection (august 2007) and a full brake job was done at that time. This included turning the rotors. A new rotor was installed during the repair after this incident. *tr”Owner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Sep 2007
“Tl*the contact owns a 1999 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that whenever she drives her vehicle and preparing to stop, the vehicle skids approximately 10 to 15 feet and nearly causes a crash. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 05v379000 (service brakes, hydraulic:antilock). The dealer stated that it was the consumer's responsibility. The failure occurs at any speed. The current and failure mileages were 115,000.”Owner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Aug 2007
“The service engine light came on in vehicle. I took vehicle to auto zone for a diagnostic check and it stated the pc-valve needed to be replaced and something about the emissions. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they stated the pistons melted on the heads and engine needed to be replaced. *jb”Owner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Aug 2006
“Fuel pump fuse blows during highway driving. Not sure of exact speed. I believe I was driving at about 60 to 65 miles per hour. Blew four times. Problem once per mile. I got off the highway and took the street the rest of the way and the fuse did not blow. Have not been to a mechanic yet except for my dad and we both agreed that it was weird that the fuse kept blowing. Fyi when the fuse blew the engine just stalled and I coasted to the edge of the highway. The vehicle would not start either until the fuse was replaced. *jb”Owner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Jun 2006
