“2024 GMC Acadia grounded at dealership for 3+ weeks due to unavailable driver seat belt buckle (Part 26522477), rendering a brand-new vehicle legally un-driveable due to primary restraint part constraints. The buckle will not latch, causing the seat belt to be rendered inoperable. The problem was reproduced by the dealership, and the replacement part is backordered.”Owner report · Seat Belts · Jun 2026

“Apparently many vehicles like mine and including mine have defective radiator hoses or a poor set up with routing causing issues with the hoses. They are developing cracks/leaks causing poor circulation in the cooling system as well as possible engine failure. In speaking to mechanics and reading forum posts, it is evident that this is a large scale issue.”Owner report · Engine · Dec 2025
“Breaks are squeaking awful. Have had front brakes and rotors replaced which cost $380. Did not fix the problem. Have also saw where a lot of other 2024 gmc Acadia owners are experiencing the same problem.”Owner report · Service Brakes · Nov 2025
“At low speeds the brakes squeal horrendously. We have taken the vehicle to the dealer multiple times and each time they state that the brakes are fine. A vehicle with this low of miles should not have squealing brakes since new.”Owner report · Service Brakes · Oct 2025
“I have had 3 taillights replaced. The first one was the driver's side taillight at Marty's GMC in Kingston MA. The second one was the passenger side taillight at Quirk GMC in Braintree, MA and the third one was the driver's side one again. the vehicle had approximately 28,000 miles when the 3rd taillight was replaced and was purchased in August of 2024. Both dealers stated that it was safe to drive the vehicle with the taillights not operating. The first 2 took approximately one week to get the part and the 3rd one took 4 weeks. I believe that this is a serious safety issue as the vehicle tailgate lights are only visible when directly behind the vehicle.”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Oct 2025
“My vehicle only has 12,000 miles and it’s a 2024 and the brakes are constantly squeaking. I’ve reported this multiple times at my dealership and they are stating “this is normal and because of the new heavier materials there is not a fix for this.” I’m really concerned about this as it’s a safety issue. This car is also too new to be having this type of issue. I’m also apart of a owners forum and several owners are having the same issue. For the report today I’m putting the most recent date but as stated I have reported this several times with my local dealership Group 1 GMC here in Houston, Texas.”Owner report · Service Brakes · Sep 2025
“when backing up brakes abruptly apply themselves for no reason at all. This happens all the time the dealer says there is no problem with my vehicle, but the rear breaking abruptly keeps on applying.”Owner report · Service Brakes,Forward Collision Avoidance · Sep 2025
