Auto Start Stop seemed to have malfunction and shut the car off completely. I had to restart the car in traffic to get going. This happened twice, once going to work and once on a weekend trip to New Jersey. The only thing that's preventing an accident is you have to stop for the auto start feature to even activate.Owner report · Engine · Jun 2026

My 2025 Genesis GV70 stopped accelerating properly. There is a lag when you push on the accelerator pedal and it must be pushed about 75% before it begins to accelerate. When it does accelerate it has much less power than normal. This fault occurs constantly. The car can't accelerate normally at any time now. This is definitely a very serious safety hazard. This behavior has been reproduced by Genesis service personnel. There are no warning lights associated with the problem and no diagnostic codes are signaled. After 24 days the Genesis service personnel have no idea what is wrong.Owner report · Power Train,Engine · Jun 2026

This happened in an Enterprise rental car. Now I will be fighting against loss of rental and rental damages to car my insurance company provided because of a claim on my personal vehicle. I was driving northbound 270 merging onto westbound 64 in St. Louis, Mo, when the back windshield spontaneously exploded. I thought it was a gunshot, checked my body for damage; none found. Looked in my rear view mirror and saw the entire back windshield was completely cracked.Owner report · Visibility/Wiper · Apr 2026
When slowly backing up my GV70 from a parking spot, on two occasions the brakes have slammed on. In both instances there were no cars in close proximity behind my vehicle and no hazard or obstacle was present.Owner report · Service Brakes,Forward Collision Avoidance · Apr 2026
When I press the gas pedal halfway or 3/4 nothing happens - which is really bad in heavy traffic situations. On the highway, I floored it and the RPM was racing but it wouldn't shift up, so the engine was racing but there was no acceleration at all. I backed off and accelerated lightly, it would speed up. Scary. I have stomped on the accelerator it will rev to between 4 and 5 thousand rpms never up shifting or accelerating. Happens to frequently and I only have 11,000 miles on the vehicle. Genesis service can't locate the issue.Owner report · Engine · Jul 2025
Newly purchased 10 months ago and both right and left headlight inner lenses are covered in condensation. Blurs the LED light illumination. Reduced night illumination for maximum distance of road hazards. Increased chance of premature bulb failure due to direct exposure of moisture/water vapors. Unreliability of critical lighting safety requirements.Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Jul 2025
