“The contact owns a 2022 Genesis GV70. The contact received notification of NTHSA Campaign Number: 26V229000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.”Owner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Jun 2026
“My vehicle is at the Genesis dealership with what they even consider a common problem. Road debris putting a hole in the unprotected Turbo Intercooler Radiator. This is a safety issue because the loss of power in the vehicle once you lose your turbo. The radiator is very unprotected down at the bottom of the front of the vehicle and Genesis needs to do something about this. This is going to cost me $1500 to fix there not covered by Genesis even though it's a serious design flaw. I know I'm not the first person to report this, as I've seen forum posts about it and the issue is quite common. If it's so common, and it's so vulnerable, there most definitely is a design flaw in the vehicle.”Owner report · Engine · Jun 2026
“Due to icy roads, the Genesis slid into a curb at a slow rate of speed. The vehicle did not go up on to the curb and the speed was very slow. There were scratches on the wheel, but no other body damage or contact. Four airbags violently deployed in a spectacular overreaction which could have caused injury. I am concerned for public safety. The auto manufacturer refuses to respond to me.”Owner report · Air Bags · Jan 2026

“I was driving and I wasnt merging, no one was in front or behind me and my car had a collision warning and forced me to brake 3 times in a row. I was going 30 miles per hour and it made me brake really quickly, then it went forward, broke again by itself, went and then broke one more time. I had to wait for it to be normal before entering the freeway. Very scary”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Nov 2025
“Vehicle has severe condensation on both headlights (Driver and Passenger) sides. This issue was addressed before and light were replaced by dealership. This is definitely a design defect that allows condensation to accumulate. This has affected proper light projection which would not be adequate for reasonable visibility during dark hours. The amount of liquid(condensation) could potentially cause an electrical failure or spark in the front part of the vehicle. This issue has been broadly discussed in Genesis Forums with no permanent solution in sight.”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Oct 2025
“Moisture issues in headlight assemblies from the factory. That buildup of moisture inside the assemblies is causing visibility issues when the lights are needed.”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Sep 2025
“I experienced a significant safety issue while operating my vehicle. After initiating a turn, the vehicle's acceleration defaulted, causing it to reach speeds of 60 mph in just a few seconds. This rapid increase in speed resulted in the loss of control, leading the vehicle to crash into a guardrail. The incident raised serious concerns about the vehicle's safety features, including the effectiveness of the acceleration system, braking mechanisms, and stability control. I recommend that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigate this issue to prevent future accidents and ensure better safety.”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Jul 2025
“Condensation in head lights. Cars been at dealer. I'm told it's normal for two years driving to work on 2/6/25 snow and sleet. Left light went out. Head light and hi beam. On line says the condensation issue is common on 2022 GV70. How is water and lighting not a recall ? Thankfully I was driving the car and not my daughter”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Feb 2025
“Multiple warning indicators are illuminated all of the time. Forward collision, Low brake fluid, brake light, lane departure warning, check lane safety system, check blind spot safety system. Vehicle is still drivable with all of this happening.”Owner report · Forward Collision Avoidance · Nov 2024
“Started car. Would not accelerate past 30-40 miles an hour even when I pressed the Gas Pedal to the floor. I pulled over and turned the car off. On restart it seems to be fine. The Genesis GV 70 forum is replete with owners having the same issue. This is a 2022 with less than 25,000 miles on the Odometer. There are not many of these cars on the road and probably many owners are unaware that this seems to be a recurring issue on many of these models. I implore the NHTSA to look into this matter quickly before fatal accidents , if they haven't occurred already, happen.”Owner report · Vehicle Speed Control · Oct 2024
