“I own a 2024 Genesis G90 with two active NHTSA recalls: 25V474 and 25V833. On April 19, 2026, the vehicle suffered a total electrical failure: “Check brake system” warning Engine would not start Electronic door handles failed; occupants trapped inside for over 20 minutes Turn signals operate abnormally The dealer previously repaired only by reset (no recall fix). This is a life-threatening safety defect affecting brakes, electrical system, and egress. Please open an investigation and enforce recall repairs. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2023-2025 G90 and GV60 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Remedy: The instrument panel display software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2025. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 027G.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Genesis G90 vehicles. The Highway Drive Assist (HDA) corner radar may falsely detect another vehicle, which can result in sudden, unintended braking while driving.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to use the Highway Drive Assist feature until the remedy has been performed. Dealers will replace the front bumper beam, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 26, 2026. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 030G. Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6, 2023-2026 Genesis G90, 2024-2026 Hyundai Santa Fe, and Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid vehicles. The driver and passenger seat belt anchors may detach.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and reinforce or replace the seat belt anchors, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning May 29, 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 and Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's numbers for this recall are 298 and 032G. Hyundai Motor America (Genesis) is recalling certain Genesis 2022-2026 GV70, 2023-2025 G90, 2021-2025 G80, and GV80 vehicles. Fuel may leak at the pipe connection between the fuel pipe and fuel rail.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten, or replace the fuel pipe as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning July 20, 2026.
