We are reaching out regarding Safety Recall Notice 23S48. This recall pertains to this issue: "when the vehicle is placed in reverse, or when the 360-Degree view is selected, you may intermittently see a rear camera blue or black image on the SYNC® screen." After bringing our vehicle to the Ford dealership, they have replaced the camera as the recall specifies. However, the issue described continues to persist. Ford is telling us than any further work towards fixing this issue would be at our expense. Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Apr 2026
My transit 2022 van has intermittent issues with the climate controls not working. Sometimes it will completely stop working for a day or more, and other times a few hours. This becomes a big issue in the winter when you need to keep the windshield clear of frost on the outside and inside. When looking online I found that I am not the only one having this issue.Owner report · Visibility/Wiper · Dec 2025

2021 Ford Bronco® and 2022-2023 Ford Transit® Van - 360-Degree and Rearview Camera Recall (23S48). I have taken my Van in 4 times to fix this issue, and it is still not fixed but it is marked as fixed on your website. Randomly the back up cameras on all sides will stop working and go blue or green with no image.Owner report · Electrical System · Feb 2025
This is a fleet vehicle operated by Walmart and managed by Wheels Inc Fleet Management. Vehicle experienced loss of brake effectiveness due to brake vacuum pump failure. As operator described: "CUSTOMER STATES BRAKE LIGHT ERROR POPPED UP ON DASH AND BRAKES BECAME SPONGY AND VEHICLE FELT UNSAFE TO DRIVE... VEHICLE WAS TOWED IN." This failure has occurred on probably 30 identical vehicles in their fleet. Repair order evidence for this particular incident and several others is attached. Please contact me if further information is needed. Thanks.Owner report · Service Brakes · Jul 2024
My van has the 360 camera (1 one each side and 1 on the rear). My van would intermittently experience blue image on the sides and rear when vehicle is placed in reverse. There was a recall on the rear camera only (Recall 23V598) that was recently performed on my van. It looks like the rear camera is fixed but I am now intermitently getting a gray image on the left and right camera when the vehicle is placed in reverse. Ford needs to replace all 3 of the cameras to really fix this issue.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · May 2024
My 360 side cameras are turning blue while reversing. I asked Ford Corp to fix it under the recall, but Ford refused to rectify. I ended up paying $701 out of my own pocket. I told them this is part of the recall but still denied the repair. I had to go to Check Cashing place to borrow $701 NOTE: I almost hit a mother and a child while backing up because my screen turn blue all of a sudden.Owner report · Lane Departure · May 2024
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Transit. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 63-64 MPH, the solar panel suddenly detached and landed in the street after a semi-truck drove by. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer was unable to find what caused the solar panel to detach. The contact was informed that the solar panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not covered under recall or warranty. The failure mileage was 8,632.Owner report · Structure · Apr 2024
There is a recall 23S48 to replace the rear camera. My 2022 Ford Transit has a 360 camera and only the rear camera was replaced with the recall. My side camera is also having intermittent issues where it shows a grey/blue screen when the vehicle is placed in reverse. Ford needs to replace all three cameras for the 360 system and not just the rear. This is still a safety issue when you cannot see vehicles on your side when reversing.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Mar 2024
Campaign/NHTSA# 23S48/23V598 Even though Ford Motor website sows the fix for the recall is available, when we approach the authorized dealers they are saying it is not available. I have contacted two authorized dealers and none of them are able to fix the issue, saying the parts not avaialble. Dealers that I have contacted are: AutoNation Ford Jacksonville (10720 Phillips Highway Jacksonville, FL 32256 (904) 865-5509) Coggin Ford (9650 Atlantic Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32225 (904) 893-2735) This is pretty much not drivable now the camera hardly works anytime.Owner report · Visibility/Wiper · Feb 2024
