In both cases the motorhome lost its ability to stop this motorhome. I was able to slow down and avoid serious problems. After the components cooled down the system went back to working. I have had the brakes checked and no problems were discovered. I have talked to ford and have not gotten any help.*akOwner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Jul 2002

All f -superdutys with the 7.3l diesel motors front end shaking violently the front wheels on these vehicles start shaking violently back and forth, when you apply the brake pedal when this is going on it gets worse and eventually will result in a crash. All ford superdutys that I have driven do this at speeds of 40-70 mph the only way to get this to stop shaking is to come almost to a complete stop and then start again. *akOwner report · Suspension · Nov 1999
Motor home lost power three times before and fuel filters were replaced. This dealer recognized the problem and replaced fuel pump. Each time the vehicle would recover power if left to cool down over 6 hours.Owner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Jul 1999
While drving the motor home the engine quit which caused the motor home to stall. Mechanic stated the fuel pump was producing low pressure. The fuel pump has been replaced. Please describe details. *akOwner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Jun 1998
Cruise control was set on 55 mph, applied brakes to disengage, did not work . Pushed harder on brake, instead of disengaging, it started to accelerate. In order to disengage the cruise control had to manually push the on and off button, that was the only way. *ak consumer states cruise control works correctly now. Brake switch wad replaced. *slcOwner report · Vehicle Speed Control · Nov 1997
When driving vehicle applied brakes, had complete loss of effectiveness; a smell of overheating; could stop vehicle by applying parking emergency brake. Fluid in the brake line had overheated. *akOwner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Oct 1996
Brake switch failed. This brakes switch has too much responsibility: brake lights, shift interlock (prevents shifting from park if switches is broken), and cruise control kick down. Careful internal inspection suggests very poor design. *etOwner report · Exterior Lighting · Jun 1996
Engine failed due to failure of the recall component, however owner not notified prior to damage. (97s92). Egr tube. (mjs)Owner report · Engine And Engine Cooling
