“Pulled up to stop sign. When making right turn, onto interstate frontage road, throttle quit working, wrench ligh and check engine light came on. Coasted to side of road. Vehicle had to be towed in to ford dealer. Was told electronic throttle control shut down vehicle, and throttle body would have to be replaced. Had it happened another minute latter it would have failed in the middle of an interstate highway.”Owner report · Engine · Jul 2016
“New tires purchased for church bus within the last 2 years. Of the 6 tires on the bus, 4 have experienced tread separation. The latest incident was on 8/10/12. The bus was traveling on I-75 near ocala, fl. Traveling at the posted speed limit of 70, the bus experienced a complete tread separation of the right front tire. The driver was able to safely guide the bus into the emergency lane. No one was killed or injured. A new tire was installed and we have the old tire in our possession. The other 3 tires experienced the same failure but we no longer have those tires. *tr”Owner report · Tires · Aug 2012
“This same problem has been reported by people complaining on blogs. While in motion the vehicle will cut out. All power just stops and the vehicle rolls to a stop. It can be restarted. There is no indication when this will happen. It has happened on the expressway, at a repair facility, stopping at a traffic light, going down the road. Speed is not a common factor. The key has one or two other keys on the "key chain". There is no special weather situation. I do not know if it is the same cause as the gm problem with the ignition, but it produces the same result. This is a handicap shuttle van. *tr”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Aug 2011

“As I applied the brakes and attempted to turn the brakes automatically locked up and would not release. I was in traffic the truck would not move in the middle of the highway. It also happened again as I attempted to back into the driveway. I applied the brakes and began turning the steering wheel the brakes again went to the floor and would not release. Ask the dealership and they said oh yeah that happens sometimes on those vehicles. *tr”Owner report · Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Jun 2011

“We have a 2006 ford f-450 that was purchased in november 2005. In october 2008 the "water in fuel" warning light came on. The ford dealer found no water and replaced a fuel water module at no charge. Now the truck loses power without notice and we are told that the coating on the interior of ford diesel fuel tanks corrodes and collects as sediment in the fuel system. The sediment, collects at the bottom of the fuel tank and is sucked into the fuel system. The truck cannot be driven safely. Ford claims there is no warranty for this malfunction. *tr”Owner report · Fuel System, Diesel · Jun 2010
“2006 ford e-450 bus, gas tank delamination with 46,000 miles causing vehicle to stall and stop nearly causing an accident at an intersection at night. A police officer stopped and set up flares, and we avoided a serious accident. Ford denied claim stating the gas tank delamination was caused by the government's relaxation on diesel fuel additives. It caused us $3500.00 to repair the vehicle due to a defect in the fuel tank coating by ford. *tr”Owner report · Fuel System, Diesel · Oct 2009
“The engine quite several times, the last time the vehicle was totally dead and wouldn't restart. Also, the emergency flashers were inoperative. *tr”Owner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Sep 2008
“Engine loss of power. Multiple times over the years requiring repairs that never resolved the issue. Ambulance service ended up having to pull from service because of frequency. *tr”Owner report · Engine · Sep 2008
