“2001 dodge sport 1/2 ton pickup truck has several cracks in dash. Last week, one section of dash completely fell in. Concerned this problem could now effect wiring. *tr”Owner report · Structure · Nov 2007
“My 2001 dodge dash started cracking a few months ago. Now I have a big hole where part of it once was. Cracks are getting bigger and I am afraid that more holes will follow.”Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Jun 2007
“My 2001 dodge dakota leaked water to the right or passenger side of the cab compartment (every time it rained. It was first noticed during the summer of 06" it first appeared on the floor of the front seat. After tearing up all the carpet I found that the water was actually coming in from behind the rear seat. There is a seam about half way up in the right rear corner and that is where the water is coming in I tried to patched it as best I could. So far I have been lucky. *tr”Owner report · Structure · Sep 2006

“On aug. 20,2005 I was driving a 2001 dodge durango 2wd on the interstate at 72 mph when I had to go around a curve and could not turn the wheel not even a little bit. I was almost home but the turning became more difficult. When I got home I had to leave the truck along side the street that night. I took the truck into the dealer place and they inspected the problem and found that the power steering pump had malfunctioned. The motor of it had froze up and was pushing fluid back up to the cap and was running out.*jb”Owner report · Steering · Aug 2005
“While on my way to have my durango serviced for the recall to it's ball joints, my oil pressure dropped, the engine light came on and then the car died. All within a matter of minutes while I was driving on a highway. I had to have it towed to the dealership and they said I needed a new engine. They claimed it was a maintenance problem. I had the engine replaced at a local mechanic. I had a used engine put in and the old engine was traded in on the new one. *ak”Owner report · Engine And Engine Cooling · Feb 2005
“Noises and popping coming from front suspension when going over bumps. Front end sways back and forth, especially on bumpy roads. Treacherous on icy roads due to lack of stabilty. *ak”Owner report · Electronic Stability Control · Dec 2004
“At around 60k miles, I was experiencing a shifting latency at highway speeds and occasional power loss when I tried to accelerate or go in reverse. Took it in to the local aamco where they said that I had high levels of metal shavings in the fluid, and that I needed to have the transmission rebuilt. Cost was $2800 not including the warranty that I purchased through them. From what I understand (from the dodge forums I frequently visit) this is a common problem with the second generation ram's, and one that chrysler seems to ignore. Perhaps that is why they only warranted these trucks for 3 years/36000 miles. *jb”Owner report · Power Train · Dec 2004
“Car has stalled numerous times while driving. This means I have virtually no steering and no brakes. A few times Ive driven into curbs to keep from hitting other vehicles and to stop my vehicle. This week it happened four times in one day while traveling on congested streets. It is completely random, happening on rainy days, sunny days hot days and cold days. My mechanic says chrysler is aware of this problem and I should take it to the dealer. While that's my next step, this type of problem should not be happening. And if chrysler is aware of this dangerous problem, why hasn't there been a recall? *jb”Owner report · Electrical System · Dec 2004
“I took my 01' dodge durango to hartzheim dodge service center for my 90 thousand mile service, a couple days later the "chime" constantly goes off , I took it back to the service center 11/19/04 and found that the module "wore out" they recommended replacing ctm. I declined, I feel that it was their mistake and I shouldn't have to pay to replace ctm ($300) and the chime still keep sounding and no lights on dash. I'm concerned, my alarm and all electrical is constantly coming and going. Need advise. *jb”Owner report · Electrical System · Oct 2004
“2001 model 3500 dodge truck, extended period of time at night, headlights go off, after activating dimmer control lights return to on, I called dodge and my ref# is 11770066, I am the original owner of this vehicle. I can not drive this vehicle at night this increases the risk of a vehicle crash. *la”Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Aug 2003
