2017 Dodge Charger: problems, recalls and reliability

“The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster failed to function as intended. The contact stated that the instrument cluster independently changed radio stations and made phone calls. In addition, the contact stated that the instrument cluster independently switched between icons. The contact stated that the failure was persistent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. “Engine was ticking around 74k miles, it started off quiet and I was informed by a mechanic it should be fine as a lot of cars have a ticking sound. The driver's side door was still intact. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by a dealer. The contact was informed that the failure was due to the sun melting the seams. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the VIN was not under warranty.
