“Driving on the ohio turnpike at 65 mph, the left rear tires belt separated and shredded damaging the inner fender and fuel intake tube. The tire was a bridgestone dueler apt p235-75r-15. Both tires on the right side had slits all along both edges of the tread and looked as if they were next. “Fuel tank inlet grommet leaks fuel until about half of the tank is drained. This leaves a puddle of fuel under the rear of the car. Leak location is within inches of exhaust pipe. This is a major fire hazard and an environmental problem. Dealer only part. THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BACK HEIGHT DOES NOT CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 202, "HEAD RESTRAINTS."
Remedy: SHERRY DESIGNS WILL PROVIDE AN ATTACHABLE HEADREST FOR THE DEALER OR CUSTOMER TO ADD TO THE SEATS.
THE FACTORY MOUNTED ARMREST ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR DO NOT CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 201, "OCCUPANT PROTECTION IN INTERIOR IMPACT."
Remedy: REMOVE THE ARMREST AND ADD A FOLDING ARMREST TO THE TWO FRONT SEATS.
