“Repeatedly took car to watertown spring because anti lock brakes were seizing up, repeatadly. We had to lose money on our trip to nascar race due to our safety concerns, knowing hills, traffic, police activity in race area. “I am the owner of a 1993 chrysler fifth avenue with anti lock brakes. (bendix 10). The vehicle was repaired according to the recall in october of 2009. The problem has recurred in august of 2010. “1993 chrysler fifth avenue has a problem with the brakes. *nj the consumer was informed there was a recall on the ABS, however the vehicle identification number was not included in the recall. The consumer paid for the repair work. However, one month later the brakes failed and the ABS light illuminated. One month after that, the brakes failed again, the dealer made the repair, but it didn't last. The brakes failed again, but before the consumer could get to the dealer, they started working again. “Failure of ABS pump and assembly. Brakes totaly failed. The system was repaired or replaced under recall number 685 several times and the system was repaired and I was charged several times. “Consumer parked vehicle and then went 35 miles to take care of some business. But when she returned home , stopped at a red light,and vehicle would not move. She had vehicle towed to her home. “Consumer states she came out of the store and noticed that her tire on the passenger side had a bulge in it, the size of a baseball. She also states she now is a little uncomfortable now driving her car because something may happen. She has continental tire on her car, but does not know the size. “Received a manufacturer's recall concerning ABS on 10/98. Dealer looked at vehicle approximately 10 minutes or less, and informed consumerthat everything was okay. Manufacturer's recall notice informed consumer that vehicle repairs would take at least one hour. Also, vehicle has been experiencing problems with brake pads, which needed to be replaced every 9 months to one year. Seeking help or further information from NHTSA in this matter.
