“My daughter and I took the 2 seats out from the 3rd row seating and I was in my vehicle where the seats had been and my daughter didn't know that I was going to get out of the car and she closed the big rear hatch door and my finger was caught in the door. I started screaming and luckily she was there to open the door back up because from the inside of the vehicle you can not open the window part or the door. “My "stability" light comes on and no mechanic knows why. It doesn't throw any codes to say what's wrong or anything... the light just comes on and off through the day... I just want to know if I need to worry bout it or not... I drive with my kids in my truck.. “The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while parked, the contact was notified that the front passenger side headlamps caught on fire while the high beam was engaged. The contact extinguished the fire with two water bottles. The contact stated that no injuries were sustained. The failure was not diagnosed by an independent mechanic or dealer. “The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the dashboard lights failed to illuminate. The contact stated that the dashboard lights would illuminate at times after he disengaged and engaged the dashboard lights switch several times or after pounding on the dashboard. The contact stated that the high-beam headlights would inadvertently turn off and on independently while driving. The contact stated that the passenger's side air bag warning light had been illuminated. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. “Service stability light comes on and my tahoe will not move. Brakes are holding, have replaced ABS module, ABS valves, all brakes and rotors, master cylinder and booster. And still, I'm having the same problem! Vehicle has been to midway motors a cheverolet dealer and still no answer, and it's throwing the very same codes co131 rear dump valve failure! These problems arose after driving kids to school. Had to have vehicle towed away as it would not move even when placed in neutral. “My wife was driving and suddenly the brake pedal went to the floorboard. The service brakes light illuminated as did the stability track and brake fault lights. Fortunately she was going slow and was able to maintain control without having a collision. Upon inspection, I found a brake line failure in the frame, due to heavy corrosion. CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH A POWER STEERING HOSE THAT IS NOT TO SPECIFICATION. UNDER EXTREME STEERING MANEUVERS, SUCH AS TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL FULLY TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT WHILE BRAKING, THE HOSE MAY FRACTURE AND LEAK FLUID.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE POWER STEERING HOSE(S) FOR TWO SUSPECT DATE CODES AND REPLACE THEM IF REQUIRED. THE RECALL WILL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 14, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438, GMC AT 1-866-996-9463, BUICK AT 1-866-608-8080, CADILLAC AT 1-866-982-2339, ISUZU AT 1-800-255-6727, OR HUMMER AT 1-800-732-5493.
Monroe Truck Equipment (Monroe) is recalling certain model year 2006, 2008 and 2009 Chevrolet C7500 vehicles, 2005-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles, and 2009 Ford F-350, and F-450 vehicles, equipped with Sure Power-brand battery equalizers or DC-DC converters containing a particular epoxy sealing, aka 'potting', compound. The specific potting compound used in the subject products for insulation was found to be capable of conducting electricity after being exposed to heat.
Remedy: Monroe will notify owners, and Sure Power will replace the equalizers or converters, free of charge. The recall began on March 24, 2014. Owners may contact Monroe at 1-608-328-8127.
CERTAIN FEDERAL-MOGUL REPLACEMENT WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES WITH THE BRAND NAMES: NATIONAL, CARQUEST P/NOS. 515020, 515021, 515025, 515053, 515054, 515059, AND 515060, SHIPPED BETWEEN JANUARY 23, 2006, AND DECEMBER 20, 2007, SOLD FOR LIGHT DUTY AND MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS. THE INBOARD RETENTION NUT USED TO MAINTAIN HUB BEARING ASSEMBLY CAN LOOSEN RESULTING IN AN ABS LIGHT INDICATION, NOISE, AND/OR WHEEL SEPARATION.
Remedy: FEDERAL-MOGUL WILL NOTIFY CUSTOMERS AND WILL REPLACE THE HUB ASSEMBLY FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 7, 2008. OWNERS CAN CONTACT FEDERAL-MOGUL TOLL-FREE AT 877-489-6659.
CERTAIN TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS." THESE VEHICLES WERE SHIPPED WITH TIRE AND LOADING INFORMATION LABELS LISTING AN INACCCURATE VEHICLE CAPACITY WEIGHT.
Remedy: OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH CORRECTED LABELS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. AT THE CUSTOMER'S OPTION, A DEALER CAN INSTALL THE LABEL FOR THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 31, 2006.
