“The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V054000 (Air Bags). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The local dealer-scheduled an appointment but cancelled it due to parts not being available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. “Tl* the contact owns a 2010 chevrolet silverado. While attempting to remove the spare tire from underneath the vehicle, the spare tire failed to move. As a result, the contact had to fracture the wire cable that held the tire in place. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. “My oil pressure sending unit has been replaced twice in two months. The oil pressure will be fine when starting the engine cold then gradually as the engine warms up it drops and drops until the "low oil pressure" light comes on and the display says to stop engine. After shutting off the engine for only a few seconds and then restarting the oil pressure is back around 30 then will drop and drop and will have to repeat. This last time I was driving 80mph and the oil pressure gauge went down to around 5. As soon as it was restarted it was around 30. The first replacement was on 1/19/2016. “"takata recall". The truck has a big crack in dash above instrument panel. Truck has 35500 miles on it and is always stored in climate controlled shop. It happened while being stored inside shop. “Three cracks around the passenger airbag. First cracked appeared about 60,000 miles followed by the next smaller one then around 85,000 the larger one. MARATHON IS RECALLING CERTAIN SEAT COVERS, BRAND SUPERHIDES WITH PART NUMBERS 593, 594, 578, 960, 228, 228-09, 267-08, 333, 625, AND 630, SOLD FOR USE AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FOR VARIOUS PASSENGER VEHICLES. THESE SEAT COVERS ARE MADE OF HEAVIER THREAD AND ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SEATS CONTAINING SIDE AIRBAGS. THE HEAVIER SEAT COVER COULD INTERFERE WITH FULL DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
Remedy: MARATHON WILL NOTIFY OWNERS OF RECORD AND REPLACE THE SEAT COVER FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MARATHON AT 1-800-735-2769.
