“I had a stalling problem which I diagnosed to the fuel delivery system. I removed fuel pump and sending unit which is located inside the fuel tank submerged in gas. I was alarmed to note charring and melting of insulation on the three wire harness which connects the power to the fuel pump, sending unit inside the fuel tank. This seems incredibly dangerous. I then logged onto NHTSA to discover an alarming number of similar complaints. I replaced components myself at a cost of $375.00. *nlm”Owner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Apr 2003
