Tl*the contact owns a 1993 chevrolet g20. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled while driving up an incline. The vehicle was able to be restarted, but stalled and shut off when the contact shifted into the drive position. The vehicle was towed and the mechanic stated that the inch and a half long rubber hose fitting, near the fuel pump, was split. Delta sierra radial p235/75r15, dot unknown, replacement equipment with 18000 miles on a 1993, chevrolet, g20 van. While driving 65 mph left rear tire had tread separation. Tread wrapped around axle, causing loss of brakes. Consumer and his wife suffered neck and back injuries. Damage to vehicle was $ 5000.00. *ak tire was defective. Vehicle experiencing problem with extended stopping distance whenever brakes are applied in a sudden stop / emergency situation. Vehicle been in dealer's shop for inspection, and they informed consumer that this was normal condition for that vehicle. Was driving 35 mph & started to apply brakes for a stop light, and had no brakes. Went through light. Brakes locked up for a bit in front, but not in rear. Contacted & informed dealership next day of problem with vehicle. Given run around. Finally referred to mechanic. Tires were wearing out on the outside due to the rear axle. Had to have tires changed every 13000 miles. Heard a very sharp sound in rear axle. Vehicle has been an electrical nightmare - feel very unsafe and I transport live animals to shows as well as equipment and passengers - very concerned about possible fire. Have had to drive shift interlock mechanism by starting vehicle in neutral and then shifting out of gear - dealer has adjusted and replaced this feature 5 times also rear back up lights are intermitent and high rear brake light does not work.Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Jun 1999

Remedy: SHERRY DESIGNS WILL PROVIDE AN ATTACHABLE HEADREST FOR THE DEALER OR CUSTOMER TO ADD TO THE SEATS.

CERTAIN HONEYWELL FRAM RACING BRAND HP4 AND HP8 OIL FILTERS THAT WERE MANUFACTURED FROM MAY 25, 2006, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 14, 2007, AND SOLD FOR USE AS REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR VEHICLES LIST ABOVE. THE AFFECTED FILTERS ARE MARKED WITH A DATE CODE A61451 THROUGH A72571 SEQUENTIALLY. THE DATE CODE AND PART NUMBER APPEAR ON THE FILTER HOUSING. FRAM RACING HP4 AND HP8 OIL FILTERS NOT BEARING A DATE CODE IN THIS RANGE ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL. THE GASKET OF THE OIL FILTER BECOMES MORE PLIABLE UNDER HIGH TEMPERATURES AND PRESSURES.

Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL REPLACE THE AFFECTED OIL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN DURING NOVEMBER 2007. OWNERS CAN CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLL-FREE AT 1-800-890-2075.

CERTAIN REPLACEMENT FUEL FILTERS, FRAM BRAND NAME P/N G3727, WITH DATE CODES X52911 THROUGH X60801 SEQUENTIALLY OR X600141 AND A MEXICO COUNTRY OR ORIGIN MARKING ON THE FUEL FILTER HOUSING MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 18, 2005, THROUGH MARCH 21, 2006, SOLD FOR USE ON THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE AND ON CERTAIN SCHOOL BUSES. (TO SEE THE SCHOOL BUS ENGINE SIZES, CLICK ON "DOCUMENT SEARCH" AND THEN "BUS APPLICATIONS"). THE CONNECTOR ON THE FUEL FILTER WAS NOT MANUFACTURED TO HONEYWELL'S SPECIFICATION. AS A RESULT, THE O-RING MAY NOT SEAT CORRECTLY ON THE FUEL LINE.

Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FUEL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 18, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-890-2075 (OPTION 1).

Remedy: DEALERS WILL MODIFY THE COMPUTER PROGRAM WHICH OPERATES THE ABS UNIT ON SOME VEHICLES, OR REPLACE THE COMPUTER ON OTHERS TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ABS ON THESE SURFACES.

THE TRANSFORMER USED TO POWER THE NEON CENTER LIGHTBEAM CAN OVERHEAT AND CATCH ON FIRE.

Remedy: MARK III DEALERS WILL MODIFY THE ASSEMBLIES TO ELIMINATE THE NEON LIGHTING FIXTURE IN THE VEHICLE AND REPLACE IT WITH INCANDESCENT LIGHTS OPERATING DIRECTLY FROM THE VEHICLE 12-VOLT BATTERY.
