Chevy Blazer has low milage. However, it still has several electrical issues radio at engine start goes to loudest point and car seats move backwards at awkward times which can cause an accident. Suspension very off guard, truck drifts to the sides while driving and makes an awkward sound when turning steering wheel. The complete break / steering system is off and may cause an accident if not properly take care right away. I have no money to do this big job. Please remediate.Owner report · Service Brakes · May 2023
The contact's girlfriend owns a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that fuel was leaking from the top of the fuel tank. There was an abnormal fuel odor detected. Additionally, the vehicle was slow to start. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact was concerned about the fuel odor and a possible fire. The failure mileage was unknown.Owner report · Fuel System, Gasoline · Apr 2021
I have a 2001 blazer that keeps popping up a check engine light codes.I.e p0301,p0753,p0756,p0758. I have had these parts replaced twice in the last few months. Mechanic said it was related to the electrical system. The codes come back after driving for about 100 miles.Owner report · Electrical System · Aug 2020

Transmission cooler lines between the radiator and transmission are corroded and pitted. The lines are installed over the exhaust catalytic converter. There is transmission fluid leaking from the lines, which is dripping onto hot exhaust components and burning, creating a fire hazard. These lines appear to be stainless steel, which shouldn't be corroding. The lines should not be in such close proximity to exhaust components. When the vehicle is not running/in motion, transmission fluid pools on the ground under the vehicle. In motion, the fluid is being blown rearward, coating the undercarriage and exhaust.Owner report · Power Train · Nov 2016

My 2001 blazer's brake lights stopped working during a recent drive, and another driver was kind enough to point this out at a stoplight. The next day the brake lights worked again, but remained on after I shut off the engine. My mechanic was able to determine the problem was the multifunction switch on the steering column. This was a known issue (gm recall number 01073) and gm recalled a number of the same make and model of vehicles, but my blazer's VIN was not included in the official recall.Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Dec 2015
Tl* the contact owns a 2001 chevrolet blazer. While the vehicle was being serviced by an independent mechanic for routine maintenance, it was discovered that the brake lights failed to illuminate. The mechanic diagnosed that the multi-function switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 01v364000 (exterior lighting). The approximate failure mileage was 95,000.Owner report · Exterior Lighting · Apr 2015
The driver side door striker and door latch are defective. The striker has no rust and is not in position to latch the door tight that leaves a gap between the door and body. The door latch after opening the door remains in a closed position and need to manually lift the lock in order to shut the door. *trOwner report · Structure · Nov 2014
The fuel gauge fluctuates that does not show accurate amount of fuel. The gauge goes to empty, 1/2, full, 3/4 to low. Unsure the correct amount of fuel. *trOwner report · Fuel/Propulsion System · Nov 2014
About once a few weeks, my ABS will activate when it is not supposed to. I will be trying to make a normal stop, sometimes an abnormally slow stop and the brake pedal will vibrate and depress but the vehicle won't stop the way it's supposed to. At that point, I usually jam the brakes down and pray. Sometimes when I have enough stopping distance, I will pump the brakes and it goes back to normal. When are you force gm to do a recall? I read the blogs about this problem today, and this a frequent problem with this make and model. *trOwner report · Service Brakes · Jun 2013
