2024 Cadillac XT4: problems, recalls and reliability

“While driving on the highway at approximately 65-70 mph the Automatic Emergency Braking system engaged for no apparent reason, no vehicles were around or near our vehicle. “Car suddenly stopped while driving and would not start and stalled. Tried to restart multiple times with failed to restart. Car cranked but did not start after multiple attempts. There were no warning signs or indication before stall. Luckily, incident happened in parking lot way out from it. Traffic behind had to steer to other lane to maneuver. Stalling on public road or freeway could’ve been a safety concern for occupants and others. Dealer diagnosed the issue as faulty fuel pump driver module and replaced the part. “While driving the vehicle on 01 May 2025, the car rapidly decelerated from over 60MPH to under 30 MPH in an instant. The car would not go over 30MPH. The power steering was off, the safety restraint was off, service transmission warning was on, engine light was on,low fuel indicator was on (I had over a half tank of gas), and service stabilitrak was on. The car had to be towed to the dealership. This is the second time this has occurred within the last 45 days. I just purchased the car in the middle of March. This is extremely unsafe as if I was on a highway I would be injured, someone else would be injured or death. “I was driving with my husband and daughter, when all of a sudden, the vehicle braked out of nowhere (twice) with no one in front of us and the Emergency brake notification flashed on the windshield. Thankfully no one was directly behind us or else my daughter, who was in the back seat, could have been seriously injured. “Starting auto on20Feb2025 I was unable to turn the stearing wheel.Turned auto off, restarted same problem. Called Cadallac for repare appointment. Re sstarted the car later operations normal. “The AEB system engaged when it should not have with no obstructions on [XXX] . I violently jerked, I thought I hit something but did not. The safety of myself and a person following me would have been been compromised. If someone was closer to me in the rear they would have hit me. My GM Onstar light turned to red and Onstar contacted me to see if I was ok. The problem has been confirmed by Faulkner Cadillac in Bethlehem, Pa. False Automatic Emergency Braking-Bulletin [XXX]. When the occurrence happened the Automatic Emergency Braking warning came on in my Driver Information Center. “On June 13th 2024, and on July 30th 2024, while driving on highway my Cadillac XT4 suddenly jerked forward as if I had been struck from behind by another vehicle. The vehicle seemed to have lost all power and appeared to stall in the lanes of the highway. This created a very dangerous situation, causing vehicles behind me to swerve in order to avoid a collision. Be advised that the vehicle did not turn off, because I didn’t have to restart it, however it felt like it did. This situation could have caused myself, and passengers to be injured or killed, especially if a large truck was behind me and unable to stop.
