Airbag light came on while we took a trip to big bear with friends, technician discovered the connectors under the front passenger seat were melted, got the connectors changed, airbag module replaced, airbag light is still on. I own a rental company and I'm not able to rent the vehicle due to the passenger airbag recall for the past year, and gm won't do anything about it. This recall needs to be performed.Owner report · Air Bags · Mar 2019
Faulty bearings on camshaft failing causing inadequate oil pressure resulting in "limp mode", subsequently leading to engine failure and illumination of stabilitrak, ABS and parking assist icons. "limp mode" cuts engine off and driver loses ability to control the vehicle, 1 fatality and 3 injuries have resulted because of this.Owner report · Engine · Dec 2018
Takata recall. Service stabilatrak check engine code p011 had everything done and now dealer says must replace engine. I have replaced camshaft crankshaft and also the s noses. Still p011 code!!this is a major issue with this model car oil presses issues. There needs to be a recall on this vehicle!!I received a recall notice for the air bag in september 2016 I have been in contact with the dealer and have no parts to the recall yet almost 2 yearsOwner report · Unknown Or Other · May 2018

The dealer states they have no information or parts for this recall. Earnhardt cadillac, 7901 e frank lloyd wright blvd, scottsdale, az 85260. I received a notice in the mail regarding the chapter 11 case no. 17-11375 for tk holdings inc. On this notice, it advised to file a complaint with you if the dealer was unable to repair. Please advise.Owner report · Air Bags · Oct 2017
Takata recall - gm issued a recall for our vehicle in may, 2016 and to this date, dealers are still reporting no parts available to fix the defective air bags. We contacted cadillac customer service about this and we're told it may be several more months before parts are available or NHTSA closes the recall without repairs. The problem is we've been trying to trade the car in on a new vehicle, however no dealers want the vehicle as they cannot resell them with a pending recall and no parts are available to fix it. What is our recourse in making a claim with gm against the amount they have devalued our vehicle?Owner report · Air Bags · Dec 2016
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade esv. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.Owner report · Air Bags · Sep 2016
P0011 engine code once the check engine light comes on the truck rides horrible. Gm has no solution to this problem. Its a design flaw lubricating the cam shaft. I change the oil once a month. Its not enough.. Gm knows this problem exist and covers it up.. I hope more escalade owners come forward and complain about this problem. Forcing owners to go to the dealership to clear the code isn't fair.....Owner report · Power Train · Jul 2016
Takata recall. It's been 2 years since the recall notification and no solution has been obtained. I've exhausted all efforts to resolve this dangerous recall. In 2016 & 2017 I attempted to trade in my vehicle at the cadillac dealers. According to the cadillac sales person, they are not taking any trade in with that recall and if they did it would be at a considerable value reduction. Basically giving the vehicle away. I'm forced to keep this dangerous car and it's bad workmanship.Owner report · Air Bags · Jun 2016
