Tl* the contact owns a 2006 buick terraza. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle jerked and decelerated. The check engine, ABS, and stabilitrak warning indicators illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle started veering to the side. The contact pulled the vehicle over and turned off the engine. The contact restarted the vehicle after approximately 15 minutes and it would not accelerate over 25 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the stabilitrak system was damaged and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The veh has a niose in the rearafter start up, sometimes it go away after driving for a while but it come back over and over again, I took it to the dealership they suggested I replace the controlled arm right and left and replace the steering sensor along with the thermostat and this will fix the problem the cost will be 1,500.00. The engine stops without warning have had to go to gm dealer and get code to start it next three times I just wait in traffic till it started now I am scared to drive it think this car needs to be recalled and fixed before it kills me or someone else, I paid the gm dealer to look at it and they couldn't tell me what is wrong with it but agreed it did the same thing to them. *trOwner report · Engine · Jul 2014

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the stability control was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The check engine light has been illuminated as well as the traction control light is on (indicates ABS needs to be serviced) also transmission "slips" when moving forward. At times when both the engine light and ABS light are on the engine will reduce power. Transmission was replaced at 63,000 for the same thing! Have had to numerous shops who cannot locate issue. In 2013 had my passenger slider door fixed for not opening half the time or it would just open. I took it in and got it fix cost me 800.00 and the same day got it fixed the driver door did the same thing and the dealer finally got it to shut but still having problems with it opening all my it self and then we have a hard time getting it to close. THE BRAUN CORPORATION HAS NOTIFIED NHTSA ABOUT A DEFECT IN CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005-2008 GENERAL MOTORS MOBILITY CONVERSION, HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE LOW FLOOR MINIVANS. DURING CONVERSION, THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER SIDE TRAILING ARM MODIFICATION MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ADEQUATELY WELDED.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND WILL HAVE A SUPPLY OF RETROFIT PARTS AVAILABLE TO REMEDY THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JUNE 4, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BRAUN AT 1-800-488-0359.

DORMAN IS RECALLING 979 STEERING KNUCKLES, DORMAN P/NOS. 697-902 AND 697-903, SOLD UNDER DORMAN'S "OE SOLUTIONS<SUP>TM</SUP>" BRAND NAME, AND NAPA P/NOS. 7-8502 AND 7-8503 WHICH WERE SOLD FOR REPLACEMENT USE ON THE VARIOUS VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. A POTENTIAL MATERIAL OR DESIGN DEFECT COULD RESULT IN THE STEERING KNUCKLE BREAKING IN THE HUB AREA.

Remedy: DORMAN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE STEERING KNUCKLES FREE OF CHARGE AND REIMBURSE THE REPAIR FACILITY OR OWNER FOR LABOR. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 23, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DORMAN'S TOLL-FREE HOTLINE AT 1-800-523-2492 AND PRESS 5.

CERTAIN TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS." THESE VEHICLES WERE SHIPPED WITH TIRE AND LOADING INFORMATION LABELS LISTING AN INACCCURATE VEHICLE CAPACITY WEIGHT.

Remedy: OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH CORRECTED LABELS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. AT THE CUSTOMER'S OPTION, A DEALER CAN INSTALL THE LABEL FOR THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 31, 2006.
