“[XXX] My car called fire I have a BMW seven series 750 LI apparently there was a cooling pump that Bmw put on the car that calls us fires. “drive speed approx. 5-10MPH slow down to almost stop intersection red light stop, over a very small bump. All sudden I hear a pop and all air is leak out and TPMS sensor goes crazy...Pull over and check, so there was a hole approx. 2-4 Inches on the sidewall tire unrepairable. This is an unsafe product on the road my opinion. Can't imaging if I was drive on freeway, could be a major fatality. Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT 245/45R19XL 102Y BSW, suppose to be run flat. But not exactly I can't barely limping, luckily there was Allen Tires just block away, I was barely limp in, but my rim now womp. “Tl* the contact owns a 2011 bmw 750li. The contact stated that while approaching his vehicle, he noticed melted tar coming from the driver's side rear door handle. The following day the windshield wipers engaged with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed by an authorized bmw dealer. The vehicle was taken to wide world bmw (125 e route 59, spring valley, ny 10977) where it was diagnosed and determined that the door handle and harness cable needed to be replaced. “Power supply malfunction light comes on while car is driving on highway is the most dangerous, also occurs while driving in the city. Car is restarted light goes away. Can cause serious harm or even death while driving, it is a major issue that needs to be addressed. Car gives a timer, and then shuts down all major functions of the vehicle. “Driver seat belt restaint malfunction warning. This warning came up suddenly. Took to the dealer, they suggested replacing the air bags. “The transmission is not going into parking after the car is turn off the cars have electronic transmission shifters that are designed to automatically shift into park if the driver presses the button to turn off the engine. The agency says one driver complained to regulators about the problem, and the company has received additional complaints. No crashes or injuries have been reported. BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2011-2012 BMW 550i, 550i xDrive, 550i Gran Turismo, 550i Gran Turismo xDrive, 750i, 750Li, 750i xDrive, 750Li xDrive, 760Li, X5 xDrive50i, X5 M, X6 xDrive50i, X6 M, ActiveHybrid7, MINI Cooper S Convertible, John Cooper Works (JCW) Convertible, Cooper S Countryman, Cooper S Countryman ALL4, Cooper S, JCW, Cooper S Clubman, JCW Clubman, Cooper S Roadster, JCW Roadster, Cooper S Coupe, JCW Coupe and Rolls-Royce Ghost, 2011 BMW X6 Hybrid and 2012 BMW 650i Coupe, 650i xDrive Coupe, 650i Convertible and 650i xDrive Convertible vehicles. The electric auxiliary water pump may fail and cause the circuit board to overheat.
Remedy: BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the electric auxiliary water pump, free of charge. Depending on the model, there are currently limited parts available, however not all parts are available at this time. Owners will be notified of the recall beginning June 11, 2018, and will receive a second notification when remedy parts become available. Owners may contact BMW customer service at BMW 1-800-525-7417, MINI at 1-866-825-1525, or Rolls-Royce at 1-877-877-3735. Note: BMW recommends that owners park their vehicle outdoors until the recall remedy has been performed.
