“Sub frame rips apart from under body of car. This is a common problem with 92-98 3 series of bmw cars. These car are generally known as body model e36. I belong to several bmw ownwers sites in the web and this seems to be a very common problem, where it starts slowly with just a click until it it becomes a clunck when changing gears and them it is too late. SOME COMBINATION LAMPS THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

Remedy: J & A AUTO ACCESSORIES WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND OFFER TO REPURCHASE THE HEADLAMPS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 10, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT J & A AUTO ACCESSORIES AT 310-327-4981.
