“Took my car for an alignment and was told the problem was with the tires. Firestone primewells as. The side walls have bubbles. Firestone said two alignments was not enough to keep tires safe. “I've had the esp/ABS problem since I've owned this car, the yellow warning light comes and goes but whenever the esp/ABS warning light is on, esp/ABS does not work but the light turns off within a few minutes or couple of hours. “I have a silver tt 2008 with auto gearbox. I've had it since april 20th this year! Problem is, it jerks and bunnyhops when pulling off, reversing and moving in slow traffic. It gets worse after the car warms up and is a nightmare trying to park in tight space , no mil or codes ,audi dealer couldn't find anything wrong with the car , going tomorrow to a different audi dealer hopefully they have better knowledge of this issue. *tr”Owner report · Power Train · Apr 2014

“Vehicle hard shifting between gears. Dsg transmission. Auto lost power. Transmission seals leaking between transmission and engine. Fluid leaking from multi-clutch cover seal. Issue returned a second time on 28 dec 2011 with approximately 44560 miles. Vehicle lost power and was hard shifting. Rpm surge,vehicle surge. “My 2008 audi tt quattro 3.2 has the automatic dsg transmission. It has become increasingly difficult to drive. Slow speed maneuvers (e.g. Whilst parking) are accompanied by "jerking" or "bucking" of the car. Also, it is difficult to smoothly start the car moving from a stop. “Audi 2008 tt. The side view mirrors do not go out far enough to safely see the road. I was told be the dealer they were normal. I own 4 other audi's that do not have the same problem. I have been told this from 2 different dealers. I explained that if they did not put the mirrors on the car so they could move out far enough to see, it was not always correct. VOLKSWAGEN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 THROUGH 2010 AUDI A3, TT, AND TT ROADSTER PASSENGER VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 29, 2005 AND AUGUST 26, 2009. THE CLOSING FORCE OF AN INTERNAL SPRING OF THE FUEL TANK VENTILATION VALVE IS NOT ADEQUATE ENOUGH TO HOLD THE VALVE CLOSED UNDER EXTREME DRIVING CONDITIONS POSSIBLY ALLOWING FUEL TO LEAK.
Remedy: VOLKSWAGEN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND AUDI DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL TANK VENTILATION VALVE WITH AN IMPROVED VALVE FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 16, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT AUDI AT 1-800-253-2834.
VOLKSWAGEN IS RECALLING 720 MY 2008 AUDI TT COUPE VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES WERE PRODUCED WITH C-PILLAR TRIM COVER CLIPS THAT DO NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE RETENTION. IN THE EVENT OF A DEPLOYMENT OF THE REAR PYROTECHNIC SAFETY BELT, THE C-PILLAR TRIM COVER MAY BECOME DETACHED FROM THE SHEET METAL DUE TO LOW RETENTION FORCE OF THE TRIM CLIP.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL AN IMPROVED CLIP ON THE AFFECTED VEHICLES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 7, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT VW/AUDI AT 1-800-822-2834.
