“My airbags were never replaced by Audi. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and to fix the recall I received in the mail (airbags) and was told they had none in stock. Why is this telling me I have no recalls when I still do? The only way that my vehicle has no recalls is if Audi said they fixed it and that's not true. Nobody has fixed it nor have they notified me that they're back in stock! The Audi dealership I have dealt with since owning this s4 is the one in fife Washington. Now my airbag warning light is on and I do not feel safe but I have no choice. I have to go to work or be homeless and loose everything. That's not a choice I can make. Thank you”Owner report · Air Bags · Oct 2020
“Audi has used a timing chain in the 4.2l v8 engine. Because timing chains are typically very reliable, the chain has been placed at the rear of the engine near the firewall. The problem is that the timing tensioners are made of plastic and prone to breakage. This can result in catastrophic engine failure.”Owner report · Engine · Jun 2020

“Takata recall, NHTSA recall # 17v-032, manufacturer recall # 69p6 it has been over 6 months since the recall was initiated and audi has not yet procured the necessary recall repair items, has not provided any recall repair schedule, and has not provided any updated communication with vehicle owner. Both audi and NHTSA should ensure that more resources are directed towards this problem, perhaps suspend airbag installations in new vehicles until such time as all recall vehicles have been fixed.”Owner report · Air Bags · Jul 2017
“Takata recall issue has not been fixed by the dealership. They said they don't have parts available and will call me when they become available. When I asked if they provide a loaner vehicle until repair is performed, they said they don't have a loaner program available either.”Owner report · Air Bags · Mar 2017

“The check engine light, epc light, and stability control system light illuminate on the dashboard. The engine goes into what could be described as safe mode. Regardless of how far down you push on the accelerator, the vehicle will be slow to accelerate and at speeds at or above 75 mph may not accelerate or even maintain highway speed. I have taken my vehicle to two different audi dealerships. Audi sent one technical field manager to inspect my vehicle. I have completed numerous repairs at the recommendation of the dealerships. None of the repairs have solved the issue.”Owner report · Power Train · Mar 2013
