Consumer was driving approximately 10-15 mph when she ran across a manhole and the air bags deployed and shattered the windshield. The smell from the air bags was very strong/ obnoxious and thick white smoke appeared. *akOwner report · Air Bags · Sep 1997
The vehicle had sudden acceleration. The vehicle was parked, turned on the car and just than the vehicle went out of control, resulting in a crash. *akOwner report · Vehicle Speed Control · Sep 1996
Power door locks will unlock repeatedly without any action from the passengers. This happens when the car is moving and when it is unoccupied. This condition has caused alarm to sound falsely. Previously, the drivers side lock would not unlock any of the doors when trying to exit the car. From NHTSA's data and other auto websites it appears that this is a consistent safety problem with these cars.*akOwner report · Structure
