“Tl* the contact owns a 1996 acura integra. While driving approximately 40 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal but the vehicle did not slow down. An independent mechanic stated that the calipers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. “While driving down the highway at legal speed limit of 70 mph, the sun roof detached from my 1996 acura integra and landed somewhere behind the car on the highway. I was in traffic and could not stop immediately to see what happened to the sun roof. The sun roof was original equipment and held in place by an adhesive only. THESE HEADLAMPS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THESE LAMPS DO NOT CONTAIN THE REQUIRED AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS.
Remedy: DOPE, INC. WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND OFFER A FULL REFUND FOR THE NONCOMPLIANT COMBINATION LAMPS. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 28, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DOPE, INC. AT 1-626-272-1798.
