“"takata recall" - airbag warning light indicator on instrument panel lights up randomly. This has been occurring for the past year. It will stay lit for a day, but the next day it will be out. Some days it will stay lit for 20 minutes or so then turn off. “My son and his friend were involved in a collision that completely totaled our 2007 saturn vue. Neither the driver or passenger side airbags deployed in this accident where the vehicle ended up upside down in a ravine after hitting a sign at approximately 55 miles per hour. The airbag light had been going on and off for quite some time but I had no idea that meant neither of them was operational. “Tl* the contact owns a 2007 saturn vue hybrid. The contact stated that the brake line failed, which caused the rotors, brake pads, calipers, wheel hub, and bearing to fail without warning. The hub and bearing assembly wiring melted, which caused the check engine warning light to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to three dealers where it was diagnosed that all parts needed to be replaced, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. “I was driving down the road and my knee accidentally hit the key and it fell right out of the ignition switch. I have to fumble around for it on the floor while the car was running and moving. I also have noticed in the last few months that I have to jiggle the ignition switch quite a few times back and forth in order to start the car. “1) like others, I also have had occasional, but frustrating, problems getting my key out of the ignition. 2) I returned my saturn to the dealership several times for a light that keeps coming on which was treated by the service department as a seatbelt issue. Still coming on (and they replaced the seatbelt)! But I think they were wrong and that the light coming on is really the airbag light. Again, doesn't happen everyday, but enough that if it is truly the airbag and I'm in an accident, I'm out of luck.
