Air conditioner turns off when bulkhead door (inside vehicle) senses it is closed. I have 30 Rivian vehicles that this update has happened to and I have multiple driver's a day that are being affected by heat related issue with this new update.Owner report · Unknown Or Other · Jun 2026
The rear axle beam on this vehicle is cracked. The beam is nearly cracked all the way through with just a small amount of material still holding it together. An image is attached showing the part failure.Owner report · Suspension · Mar 2026
During operation the seatbelt connection to the pretensioner fell apart. There is a plastic housing that the seatbelt anchor is connected to. That metal anchor came apart from inside of the plastic housing and could not be reconnected. Vehicle will need a new seatbelt installed. The pretensioner mounting cable is still intact, just the connection plate to the plastic housing failed. During inspection we found the rear axle of this vehicle has a crack through it traveling vertically through the axle. The seatbelt pretensioner anchor cable completely severed and broke apart during operation. This is the metal cable near the drivers left hip that secures the seatbelt across the drivers lap area. A photo of the broken cable is attached.Owner report · Seat Belts · Oct 2025
The main seatbelt anchor cable (located near the drivers left side hip) broke during operation. This is a steel braided cable that secures the seatbelt to the seat. All strands of the cable severed entirely and left the driver unrestrained during operation. The broken part has been replaced by Rivian service. A braided steel cable that anchors the driver seatbelt harness to the seat broke during operation. The steel cable was completely severed, leaving the driver no loner restrained in the event of a collision. Rivian Automotive, LLC (Rivian) is recalling certain 2022-2025 EDV vehicles. The driver's seat belt pretensioner cable may become damaged.

Remedy: Rivian has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update. In addition Rivian will inspect and replace the driver's seat belt pretensioner assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 16, 2026. Owners may contact Rivian customer service at 1-888-748-4261. Rivian's number for this recall is FSAM-1770.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS24V367000 · May 2024

Rivian Automotive, LLC. (Rivian) is recalling certain 2023-2024 EDV, R1S, and R1T vehicles. The headlights may be improperly aimed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamp, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment."

Remedy: Rivian will inspect and adjust the headlight alignment as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 28, 2024. Owners may contact Rivian customer service at 1-888-748-4264. Rivian's number for this recall is FSAM-1445.
