“The contact owns a 2010 Lexus HS-250H. The contact stated that while driving 10 MPH, the Hybrid failure message was displayed. A dealer contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. “SAFETY RECALL GLK REAR LOWER SUSPENSION ARM No.1 CERTAIN 2010 MODEL YEAR HS250h was done previously in 2016 and epoxy was put on the lower control arms rendering the suspension not being able to be aligned by conventional means. The car is now out of alignment in the rear and cannot be adjusted due to the epoxy. Dealership states that once a recall is done it cannot be redone for free and it would be out of pocket. This service can only be done at certified dealership. The car pulls to the right and it swings, sways and drifts into corners and feels very unstable.”Owner report · Suspension · Jul 2023
“Taking left turn, heard a loud sound and complete loss of control of vehicle. Currently being inspected by Lexus dealership, although car was initially towed to dealership service center from which is was purchased. They mentioned lower control arm of rear suspension bolt was lost/missing and rear struts were shot and vehicle is unsafe to drive. I then paid for a second tow from dealership to Lexus dealership. “Car stops un-expectantly while driving, this caused the car to turn off and not be able to steer, then it turns back on without warning. This results in not being able to control the car. This resulted in being hit by three cars. It looks like Lexus listed a notice, however we did not receive it, and were not aware of the notice. “While driving anytime I attempt to slow the vehicle the brakes do not work as it should the car continue to roll forward for a few seconds before it completely stops. ABS and traction control lights are on. My mechanic inspected the vehicle and advised that brake booster pump needs to be replaced and said there is a safety recall for this faulty part. “Anytime I ride over a bumpy patch on a road on a street and then attempt to slow the vehicle, the brakes do not appear to work as one would expect. The car continues to roll forward for a few seconds prior to coming to a complete stop. This is extremely unnerving. “Safety connect system that reaches out for help automatically in the event of an accident will be discontinued by most telephone service providers in late october 2022. As a result lexus will stop supporting safety connect and will not offer an upgrade to 5g service for a fee. I therefore have a 30,000 vehicle that is otherwise perfect that I will have to replace if I want to maintain this safety feature. I think NHTSA should extend the required time vehicle manufacturers should have to maintain safety features even in situations such as this where the phone companies are phasing out a technology. “I am the second owner of this lexus hs250 purchased 7/2020 it had a recalled hybrid transaxle replaced 7/2018, by the previous owner. However on 8/11/2020 upon starting the car and driving just 4000 the hybrid battery failed and needs to be replaced. Recalls - 3 campaigns
Toyota is recalling certain model year 2010 Prius vehicles manufactured March 31, 2009, through October 9, 2009; and model year 2010 Lexus HS250h vehicles manufactured June 19, 2009, through October 9, 2009. Nitrogen gas from a component of the brake booster pump assembly could leak into the brake fluid.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected brake booster pump assemblies. The recall began on August 7, 2013. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.
TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 HS250h LEXUS VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY." WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ROTATED FOLLOWING A CRASH TEST AS REQUIRED, THE AMOUNT OF FUEL LEAKAGE EXCEEDED THE ALLOWABLE LIMITS.
Remedy: TOYOTA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE AFFECTED VEHICLES BY INSTALLING A NEWLY DESIGNED PROTECTOR COMPONENT FOR THE FUEL FILLER INLET PIPE FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 9, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LEXUS AT 1-800-255-3987.
TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 TOYOTA PRIUS AND LEXUS HS250H PASSENGER VEHICLES. CUSTOMERS HAVE EXPERIENCED INCONSISTENT BRAKE FEEL AFTER ABS ACTUATION DURING SLOW AND STEADY APPLICATION OF THE BRAKES ON ROUGH OR SLICK ROAD SURFACES. STOPPING DISTANCES MAY BE INCREASED COMPARED WITH A CUSTOMER'S EXPECTATION FOR A GIVEN PEDAL FORCE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REWRITE THE PROGRAMMING OF THE ABS CONTROL UNIT FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 3, 2010, AND IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED IN LATE MARCH 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TOYOTA AT 1-800-331-4331 AND LEXUS AT 1-800-255-3987.
