Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP Hornet SP motorcycles. The pivot bolt on the gearshift pedal may loosen and detach, resulting in the inability to shift gears. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Controls and Displays."
Remedy: Dealers will replace the pivot bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 1, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KT2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 28, 2025.
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP motorcycles. The fuel feed hose may disconnect from the fuel tank, causing a fuel leak.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the angle sensor coupler wiring harness and replace the fuel hose, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KU5. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP motorcycles. The pistons and piston rings may have been improperly manufactured, which can lead to rod bearing failure, possibly resulting in rear wheel lock up or oil leaking onto the rear tire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the engine assembly as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed February 9, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in August 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KT6. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 7, 2026.
